BLEND Blender File

The native file format for the open-source Blender software, is designed to store and transfer sophisticated 3D content. It is a comprehensive solution for creating impressive 3D visualizations and animations. It has the following features:

  • 3D Data Storage: The data that define the 3D objects and scenes in a BLEND file. This includes 3D triangular mesh data, light sources, object animation keyframes, texture UV mapping, and other parameters that control the appearance and behavior of the 3D content.
  • BLEND Import: Our Autoconverter and Automesher Application converters enable you to easily import and convert BLEND files into your preferred modeling environment, such as AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or ZWCAD. This allows you to work with BLEND files outside of the Blender software.
  • BLEND Export: Please note that while our software supports the import and conversion of BLEND files, we currently do not support exporting 3D models to the BLEND file format for further processing in Blender. This is an important consideration when planning your 3D modeling workflow.

GLB Graphics Language Transmission File

A file format developed and maintained by the Khronos Group organization. It is designed to facilitate the efficient storage and exchange of 3D models. It has the following features:

  • Khronos Group: Khronos Group is a consortium of industry leaders that creates open standards for graphics, media, and parallel computing. This organization developed the GLTF file format.
  • GLTF Versions: There are two versions of the GLTF file format that are available:
    • GLTF 1.0: Supports basic geometry, simple materials with textures, basic skeletal animations with joint hierarchies, scenes with a single root node and a hierarchy of child nodes, etc.
    • GLTF 2.0: Supports more features, such as PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials, Draco compression, advanced skeletal animations, skinning, morph targets, etc.
  • ASCII and Binary Modes: By default, a GLTF file is saved in ASCII text mode, which is human-readable and easy to edit. To save a GLTF file with all referenced texture images in binary mode, the GLB file extension should be used. This reduces the file size and the number of files.

GLTF File Converters: Autoconverter and Automesher Application allow you to import and export GLTF and GLB files, and convert them into various other 3D file formats. Our products also support the use of Draco compression, which can significantly reduce the size of GLTF and GLB files without compromising visual fidelity.
