WMS to DXF
Please find below the list of our other useful resources related to the WMS and DXF interoperability and exchange that can help you with the WMS to DXF conversion.
WMS Map
WMS (Web Map Service) is a standard protocol developed by OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) organisation with the purpose to transfer georeferenced map images over the Internet. These images are generated by a map server (e.g. MapGuide or MapServer) from data stored in a GIS (Geographic Information System) database. Our Automapki Application for AutoCAD, BricsCAD and ZWCAD allows to combine multiple WMS maps from different sources and insert it into a georeferenced DWG document.
DXF AutoCAD File
DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is an ASCII file format developed and maintained up until now by the Autodesk company to exchange DWG drawing data between AutoCAD and the other programs as the native DWG file format is proprietary and requires a license to use. Our Autoconverter and Automesher Application software allow you to convert 3D meshes to a set of DXF faces placed in the colored layers which you can process further with your DWG editor.
