X3D File
X3D (Extensible 3D) is an open source and royalty free XML based file format developed and maintained by the Web3D Consortium to store two or three dimensional models together with the other visualization data e.g. light source, viewport info, camera properties, special effects and more. The X3D file format becomes an advanced extension and actually the replacement for the original VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) file format used mostly by the WEB applications. The Autoconverter and Automesher Application are our X3D file converters which allow you to import and export mesh entities from the X3D file. To optimize file size the binary X3DB file can be used instead of a default text based X3D file. The shapes in X3D files are always defined in meters therefore our X3D converters will make the necessary units conversion if required.
DAE Collada File
DAE (Collada) file extension is a Digital Asset Exchange file used by many 3D software products as the main file format to exchange digital assets e.q. textures, geometries or just bitmap images. DAE file format is capable of storing reusable geometry component instances, multiple texture images with the corresponding texture coordinates, color transparency and named groups hierarchy. Our DAE file converters either Autoconverter or Autoshaper, can process your Collada DAE files thanks to OpenCOLLADA open framework which allows us to read and write to Collada DAE file format in an easy and efficient way.
