ASE to SAT
Enclosed is a selection of useful resources related to the interoperability and exchange of ASE and SAT files. These can be instrumental in facilitating the conversion from ASE to SAT file.
ASE File
The ASE (Autodesk Scene Export) file format is an ASCII format used to represent 3D Studio scenes. It stores data for scene meshes, model materials, and other standard 3D object properties. Our Autoconverter software and Automesher Application support the ASE file format, thanks to the open asset import library. However, it’s important to note that currently, they do not support saving and exporting to the ASE file format. If you require this feature and want to save your model into ASE file, please feel free to create a support request.
SAT ACIS File
The SAT (Standard ACIS Text) is an ASCII file format specifically designed to store 3D model geometry with precision. Developed and continuously maintained by the Spatial company, SAT files are widely supported across the majority of 3D modeling and CAD software. They play a crucial role in effectively exchanging 3D data between different systems, such as AutoCAD and Solidworks. With our Autoconverter and Automesher Application products, you have the ability to convert mesh-based geometry into a true solid shape, which can then be saved in the SAT file format.
