COB File
The COB (Caligari TrueSpace Object) file format is a 3D object proprietary file format developed by the Caligari Corporation. These COB files can be encoded in both ASCII and binary formats. Generally, binary files are preferred due to their smaller size and faster processing times. Our software, Autoconverter and Automesher Application, have the ability to read and import COB files. This capability is made possible by the open asset import library. As a result, we can support custom materials, textures, UV coordinates, and other common 3D object properties that are stored within a COB file.
FBX Filmbox File
FBX (Filmbox) is a proprietary file format initially developed by Kaydara and now owned by Autodesk, a leading company in 3D software products. The FBX file format can store transparent colors, texture images, reusable geometry components, assembly structures, and even model animation data. However, our FBX conversion software, Autoconverter and Autoshaper, currently do not support animation frames. To read and write Filmbox FBX files in the most efficient way, we utilize the official FBX SDK provided by Autodesk.
