KMZ to X3D
Please find below the list of our other useful resources related to the KMZ and X3D interoperability and exchange that can help you with the KMZ to X3D conversion.
- Convert 3D mesh files in the batch mode
- Autoconverter Uses Vertex Normals to Display Smooth Meshes
- Import and export STL, OBJ, 3DS, PLY, 3DM, SKP, IGES and STEP files
- Automesher desktop application for Windows to convert 3D file formats
KMZ Google Earth Placemark
KMZ (Google Earth Placemark) file format for Google Earth and Google Earth Pro allows you to store geographical data including point, line string and polygon geometry in the optimized way when compared to the KML file format, thanks to the ZIP file compression. Automapki Application for AutoCAD, BricsCAD and ZWCAD enables you to import KMZ maps into DWG model space and recreate every point, line string, polygon and Collada DAE model geometry saved in the compressed KMZ file. Automapki Application can also export your point, polygon, curve and image DWG drawing entities to the compressed KMZ file format, which can then be further processed in Google Earth.
X3D File
X3D (Extensible 3D) is an open source and royalty free XML based file format developed and maintained by the Web3D Consortium to store two or three dimensional models together with the other visualization data e.g. light source, viewport info, camera properties, special effects and more. The X3D file format becomes an advanced extension and actually the replacement for the original VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) file format used mostly by the WEB applications. The Autoconverter and Automesher Application are our X3D file converters which allow you to import and export mesh entities from the X3D file. To optimize file size the binary X3DB file can be used instead of a default text based X3D file. The shapes in X3D files are always defined in meters therefore our X3D converters will make the necessary units conversion if required.
