Convert RAW to AutoCAD: The Key References

RAW to AutoCAD: Resources

The following resources are provided for your reference, focusing on the interoperability and exchange between RAW and AutoCAD files. They are designed to assist you in the transition from RAW to AutoCAD files.

POV-Ray RAW File RAW

The RAW (POV-Ray Triangles) is a simple ASCII file format that solely stores a list of triangle vertices without any additional material or topological data. Each line in the RAW file contains nine floating-point numbers, representing the 3D coordinates of the three triangle vertices. Both our Automesher Application and Autoconverter software, which serve as RAW file converters, have the capability to read and import RAW files, thanks to the open asset import library. However, it’s worth noting that the functionality to save and export to this simple triangle RAW file format is currently not supported. If you require this feature, please consider submitting a support request.

AutoCAD Drawing CAD

AutoCAD, a product of Autodesk, is a leading CAD (Computer Aided Design) software program. It supports the native DWG drawing format, which is capable of containing both 2D and 3D geometry data, along with additional project metadata. Our AutoCAD add-ons, Automesher Application and Automapki Application, enable seamless import and export from a wide range of external file formats directly into AutoCAD’s drawing model space. To ensure optimal integration with the AutoCAD environment and efficient translation from external 3D and GIS file formats, we utilize the advanced ObjectARX customization technology for AutoCAD provided by Autodesk.
