3DM to AutoCAD
Refer to the following resources for additional support on the interoperability and exchange of 3DM and AutoCAD file formats. They will assist you in transitioning from 3DM to AutoCAD file.
- Import STEP, STL, OBJ, 3DM, SKP, and Other 3D Files in AutoCAD
- Convert Faces, Polygon, and Polyface Mesh to Solid in AutoCAD
- Convert Mesh to Solid or Solid to Polyface Mesh with Automesher Application
- Import and Export STL, OBJ, 3DS, PLY, 3DM, SKP, IGES, and STEP Files
- Export OBJ, STL, 3DM, SKP, PLY, and Other 3D Files in AutoCAD
- Import 3D Model with Texture Images into AutoCAD
3DM Rhino File
The 3DM (Rhino) is a native file format for Rhinoceros software, which allows for the storage of a variety of 3D geometry data types, including smooth NURBS surfaces, triangular meshes, points, and curves. However, our Autoconverter software exports and saves only polygonal meshes in the 3DM files. In contrast, our Autoshaper product enables the export of NURBS solids, providing a precise representation of your 3D model. These invaluable 3DM file converters also offer the flexibility to save Rhino files in various 3DM file versions, ranging from Rhino 2.X to the most recent Rhino 8.X version.
AutoCAD Drawing
AutoCAD, a product of Autodesk, is a leading CAD (Computer Aided Design) software program. It supports the native DWG drawing format, which is capable of containing both 2D and 3D geometry data, along with additional project metadata. Our AutoCAD add-ons, Automesher Application and Automapki Application, enable seamless import and export from a wide range of external file formats directly into AutoCAD’s drawing model space. To ensure optimal integration with the AutoCAD environment and efficient translation from external 3D and GIS file formats, we utilize the advanced ObjectARX customization technology for AutoCAD provided by Autodesk.
