LWO File
LWO (LightWave 3D Object) file is the native file format for LightWave 3D modeling, animation and rendering computer software. The LWO is a binary file format therefore the LWO file size will always be smaller compared with the ASCII text file formats.
3DS File
3DS (3D Studio) file extension is a famous file format for storing polygonal mesh models with the additional support for the model names, reusable geometry component instances, materials with transparent colors and texture images. For the legacy reasons the maximum length of 3DS model name is 8 characters, and the maximum number of triangles in a single 3DS mesh object is 32.767, therefore during 3DS export process any bigger mesh will be divided into smaller shells.
