OFF File
OFF (Object File Format) is a file extension used for ASCII text files with geometric data for 3D polygonal objects. It can support standard 3D triangles, quads and other generic polygonal shapes. Autoconverter is our standard OFF file converter which allows you to convert OFF file format into any other mesh file formats. While Autoshaper our other OFF file converter allows you to convert your OFF file into smooth NURBS shapes. However using the OFF file you can't convert materials, textures or group names from other advanced 3D file formats.
3DS File
3DS (3D Studio) file extension is a famous file format for storing polygonal mesh models with the additional support for the model names, materials with transparent colors and texture images. For the legacy reasons the maximum length of 3DS model name is 8 characters, and the maximum number of triangles in a single 3DS mesh object is 32.767, therefore during 3DS export process any bigger mesh will be divided into smaller shells. Using our Autoconverter or Autoshaper 3DS file converters you can convert any 3D model into 3DS file format and import it into a common DIALux lighting project.
