AMF File
AMF (Additive Manufacturing) file format is a new standard for the 3D printing additive manufacturing technology to represent a 3D design for the fabrication process on a 3D printer machine. In comparison to the STL file format common in the 3D printing industry, the AMF file format can offer a native support for the color, materials, texture images and reusable geometry component instances. Moreover the AMF file content can be compressed with the ZIP compression algorithm reducing the AMF file size significantly. The import and conversion of the AMF files is fully supported by our Autoconverter and Automesher Application file conversion utilities.
SKP SketchUp File
SKP (SketchUp) file format for a long period of time was maintained by Google, but currently it is actively developed by Trimble company. The SKP file allows to store reusable geometry component instances, named mesh groups and materials with texture images. It's important to note that the Win32 build is no longer available from the SKP file version 16 onwards. Therefore, it is recommended to use the Win64 build to convert the most recent SketchUp models. With the Autoconverter software you can save SKP files to any file version you require, from the early SKP version 3 to the recent 2022.
